If Whisper is smart enough to not fleece himself, would you do Killorn for Panik as a base?

Don't miss this. Also, because Killorn is more expensive, I'd add.

Obviously that was not my hope. And I don't have much interest in Killorn less production for twice the cap.

Anisimov then? I'll add–significantly if you want.

It would have to be significant. Anisimov is a 2nd line C. What would it be?

I could start with giving you a new bottom pairing in Mike Reilly and Adam McQuaid. Is that enough or should I add more?

I'm not sure thats an improvement on my 3rd pair and its more expensive. If you have another offer I'll listen but I prefer quality over quantity.

yes that's what I was thinking originally. I could sub Bowers for Slepyshev if you wanted and NHL ready guy now instead of a prospect or sub Bowers for a pick. What's the price on Schmaltz and Panik again?

Definitely not as a base for Bjorkstrand but I like Petrovic but he's a 5-6 so thats all I would pay for.

Sure, so the previous offer was Hartman for Neal(50%) and Bowers?

yes that's what I was thinking originally. I could sub Bowers for Slepyshev if you wanted and NHL ready guy now instead of a prospect or sub Bowers for a pick. What's the price on Schmaltz and Panik again?

What kind of a pick would you sub for Bowers? And Schmaltz I have just a little higher cause he will play C. Panik would be a bit cheaper.

a 2nd instead of Bowers if you want instead.

I'd really like to find a way to add Schmaltz to Hartman but I have to know what you needs would be then. Neal(50%), Bowers, Slepyshev, 2018 3rd gets me how close to Schmaltz/Hartman?

I'd stay with Bowers. I wouldn't say much closer. Slepyshev is still just a 3rd line player and I have quite a few of those. I would need something else significant to give up 2 guys on entry level deals that will play in my top 9. I'd need one of Trocheck, Severson, Klefbom for both. Schmaltz, Hartman for Trocheck + Neal(50%) would be something I'd consider.

Yikes. That's way too much. Trocheck is a legit 2C and the other guys haven't really proven enough for me to be able to move him. Same with Severson. Klefbom is one of the best young defenseman in the league so I couldn't do that either. Maybe I'll stick with Hartman only. What about Bowers, Slepyshev, and someone like Stempniak or Ward for Hartman only? You get a solid guy on an ELC, a vet on a cheap deal that plays the 2nd/3rd line and PP, and a good center prospect.

Ya it expensive but not crazy. Schmaltz will be a #2 in a couple years and you have 5+ years of control on both while McDavid is making 12.5. Thats how the Pens have won the cups. Cheap top 9 talent to play with they're big guys so they are even more valuable to me for that reason. And I'm a bigger fan of the first deal. Slepyshev showed flashed but only had 10 points and Stempniak is a rental.

I'd like to make an offer for him I think and wanted to know the ballpark of what you spent. I can go Detroit 2nd 2018 (should be top 40) + Noah Rod (Former 2nd round pick #53) .5 PPG in Swiss league as 21 year old make your own assumption from that.

Ya I'm not sure about Rod. He had a decent year last year in the Swiss league but I'm not sure how to value him. Either way it's not quite enough for me but I value him as the 18th pick not where I got him at 40.

Have to be a big plus. Myers missed almost all last year with a serious injury and he has yet to play a game since.

Ya that's what we had talked about. Since I'm not likely able to sign Neal I'd like a mid round pick. It could be contingent on Neal signing if that was more appealing.
