Description
Our offensive side of the puck is not the prob, defensive side of the puck well that's a different story. Yes some of it's to do with the second D pairing but it's also a rethink on defensive zone coverage.

Ritchie's contract - love to get rid of but will cost to move.

Mrazek or Woll? well I think they are playing at the same level and to be honest Woll is cheaper.

Why Subban? Cause I think he wants to win and work towards his next contract so I think he would play anyway Keefer want's him to in order to win and get somewhat paid. Oh and I think we can get him cheap.

Sure doesn't help the Leafs goalie situation this year, Woll instead of Mrzarek. Same with the Dman....Is Subban better than Holl.

"If Muzzin can stay healthy" I would say it adds the ability to move the puck which Rielly & Brodie have in spades and is missing on the second pairing. With the way Mrazek is playing now do you not think Woll or him is comparable? Cap space & term is the key note in the move. Now we could package up something small for another UFA goalie that would be an upgrade and not cost the farm.

Curious, take last nights game as an example.. In breakdown where do you think our area of need is? Yes we won but in all honest we probably should not have (I don't count empty net goals).

Our boys struggled to understand there "check" in defensive zone coverage, Detroit exposed Toronto's overload on the halfway style of play in the defensive zone which lead to Detroit holding good amounts of possession time in the Toronto end.

Keys to getting out of the zone is the "First Pass" and having that mindset to move the puck (Quickly). That's why I think Subban would be a good pairing with a healthy muzz.

Over the last 3 seasons in a 152 games Subban is a -38. Justin Holl in his last 3 seasons has played 154 games and is a +37. So how is a guy who is more worried about the clothes he's wearing then playing hockey a upgrade.

Does Holl really care that much about his attire?
