I'm not sure why the Devils would want Pearson, let along giving up any assets for him.

Pearson is a very good middle six winger. Ideally, he's the kind of guy who should be playing no higher than the 3rd line but he's a decent finisher and is good for 30-35 points in a full season. Johnsson is a reasonable piece to go the other way

Also, Boeser is more valuable than Konecny, Flyers have to add

Plus, Canucks aren't taking Zucker off of Pittsburgh for free

It's not free. They're getting out of the $3.5 million uninsured that they pay Ferland and don't have to operate in LTIR space so they can accrue cap space throughout the season which will be really easy with the farm team in Abbotsford now.

Sure add a 3rd to the Konecny deal if necessary. Konecny would be a better fit for Boudreau and Rutherford's style.

I haven't heard anything about Ferland's contract being uninsured like how Seabrook's wasn't, but ok

What makes you say Konecny would be a better fit under Boudreau than Boeser?

Ya it's long been reported that his contract is uninsured. I think that was reported even at the time he signed which is pretty obvious because he was coming off concussion issues.

Konecny is a better skater and plays a faster more aggressive game than Boeser does.

Boeser is a better finisher and has better hockey IQ, Konecny is a a better skater and forechecker, that's how I see the tradeoff

Ya that's probably a fair assessment.
