Ok I'll give u a logical argument before Trotz went there they were terrible and since he came in he played his system and they became one of the best defencive teams in the league. Also went to the confrence finals a couple of times.

They became one of the better defensive teams because of Pelech and Pulock, who were just entering their 2nd seasons when Trotz became head coach. They are both elite top 20 defenseman, not because of Trotz.

The isles success is in spite of Trotz, not because of him. Barzal, Pelech, Pulock, and the goaltending has made him look good

fr. trotz legit benches our best players in favor of 44 year olds and 4th line enforcers. he isnt even letting barzal thrive. barzal’s success is 100% talent. he would perform better if he was given some freedom

Yeah it's insane. Trotz is being spiteful and he's wedded to an ideology, not results. He will play his guys at all costs.

It isn't even the system that's holding back Barzal, it's the fact that he has to play with replacement level players (komarov, Bailey etc...) . Lee-Barzal-Eberle was a top 5 line in the league last season. Wahlstrom needs to be given a shot but I have a feeling Trotz won't committ to it because he knows it will work.

ive been begging for wahly and barzal to play one shift together. he is so stubborn

They have played together for 30 min this season, usually after a PK and they’ve dominated offensively. If you remember , Parise-barzal-Wahlstrom had an insane shift against Vegas a few months ago.

Yea I kinda do. But its crazy cuz we can see when Wahly gets good chances he produces and then Barzal creates so many great chances. But I do also remember that at the end of a few blowouts when we were down, Trotz would put them together and it would be 30 seconds of passing in the defensive zone. And when they are together on the PP, they just look like they know wheere the other way is gonna go. Its just crazy

I really do believe he won’t put them together at even strength because he knows it will work - and that goes against his philosophy as a coach where veterans should always be with young players because they’re “more responsible”

Those guys were nobodies before Trotz took over they thrived in his defencive system and they became 2 of the NHLs most underrated defensemen. Also lehner became one of the best goalies in the league because of Trotz when he was playing in ottawa and buffalo he was horrendosly bad so there for you guys wouldnt be where you are with out trotz. But ill say Barzal's talent also had something to do with ur sucess.

Pulock was one of the best offensive defenseman in the league as a rookie , nobodies 😂

Well in his rookie season he had 32 points in 68 GP and the season trotz took over he popped off.

Pulock's rookie season was better than the 1st season with trotz as head coach.

He got a couple more assists in the first season with trotz but he scored more goals in his rookie season.
