I mean Minny is one of the best teams in the west and Talbot has been incredible for them…. Why are they moving him for a mid level pick?

Talbot as been an average goalie, not incredible. If MN is offered a 2nd for him they should take it and run.

This. Wild are a top team in the west without a top goalie which is incredible. I could see Talbot out for sure at 3.6M

Just an idea I found. Lots of Wild ACGM I've seen, are trading Talbot/Sturm to clear out cap

Sturm is a UFA at the end of the season. He'll just walk if anything. They don't have anyone to replace him in the lineup this year.

MN needs about $2m in cap space for next season. Dumping Talbot is the easiest (and best imo) way to find it.
