    Why would Florida trade Marchment

He’s a UFA. He can sign wherever he wants.

Somehow Marchment has 12 points in his last 4 games but even before that he had 11 in 17. Regardless of whether its sustainable or not, 23 points in 21 games so far puts him in a position to earn himself a bigger contract than whats offered here and likely a bigger contract than Edmonton could afford.

It’s possible, but I would at least like to try to get him. He would look so nice on Edmonton.

Half a dozen prospects that I'd prefer out of the Oilers system. I'd pass on Lavoie but I'm all for the trade structure.

    Its about the 1st rounder...

    Brown-McDavid-Puljujarvi
    Holloway-Draisaitl-Yamamoto
    Foegele-Nuge-Hyman
    XXX-McLeod-Kassian

Something like this would be 3 strong lines

That's pretty much what this team will look like in a month or so, except with Evander Kane at 1LW instead of Brown. Kane is a better fit IMO due to his physicality.

I mean Connor Brown has gotten Selke votes. He’s fast, can defend and scoring at a 50pts/82 games in his stint in Ottawa

That's nice. He's not the least bit physical though, something the Oilers need more of.

Get Ryan Reaves if you want physicality . You also have Kassian

Could always add a condition where the pick moves to next year if the Oilers miss the playoffs
