Garland would be fun to have as our 3RW but I don’t think we sell off 3 of our top 5 for a guy that will play 3RW for us.

That is a terrible trade for Carolina. Morrow is untouchable, and Drury almost certainly steps into the lineup full time next year. Suzuki and a 1st with a lower level prospect for Garland would be fair. NYR doesn’t consider that either. Man, talk about overvaluing.

On one side, he's behind Necas and Jarvis, on the other, he's behind Svechnikov and Teravainen... don't take this the wrong way, he would be a 3rd liner in Carolina (which speaks to how strong Carolina are up front)

Drop Morrow, drop Drury. If you want a RD prospect, try Heimosalmi. Suzuki + Heimosalmi + 2nd might get Carolina talking. If you want a 1st, you could probably get that with a lesser prospect than the Finnish defenseman who's name I'm way too lazy to type out a third time.

i was mostly stirring the pot with these trades but i think VAN can get overpayments with both of them. Create an arms race in the East since they would have 2 of the 3 top forwards probably on the trade market. I also doubt VAN would be looking for 2023 1st rounders since they think their window is in 2-3 years.

Then there's very much no deal to be made here. Carolina is already on pace for 60 wins. Why change what's working?
