The only trade here that can atleast make a case for is yam for debrusk the rest well let’s just say oilers pass hard.

Jackets have no use for Kassian and certainly arent giving up a pick for him.

The way I look at the Chicago trade, Its a 1st, and 2 seconds. Koskienen and turris are just contracts going the other way for cap, and Nem and Lavoie are both worth seconds at the very least. Scouts from any team would agree to that. I think its fair considering Kubalik's horrible QO. And besides, Chicago gets their first for fleury.

I will admit though that the Kassian Trade was a complete dump. The Oilers will deal him at the draft to someone who thinks they need his type of play style but can't find it this year in the merket. Kassian was just to make the cap work.

Thats what I thought! Yamo for Debrusk would be considerable for both teams I believe. Yamo has really slowed down, and he is cheap so the bruins will love that, and he is a former 1st round pick, just like DeBrusk. And Oilers want DeBrusk for McDavid's Line. Gosh imagine if you had Hyman, DeBrusk, Kane, and Nuge on that left side. YIKES to any team who plays them.

Hard pass on the DeBrusk trade. He's expensive, terrible defensively and doesn't put in the effort. He has scored just 3 goals at 5v5 this year (vs 7 for Yamamoto) and has a QO of $4.4M in the summer, virtually guaranteeing he'll become a UFA.

This is a really easy NO for Edmonton.

When people say that Koskienen isn't as bad, look at him with the EDM lineup. (Top 10 team) now look at Fleury with CHI (Bottom 10 Team) so if Fluery is outperforming Koskienen with a byfar worse team, what do you think he will do when he has Nurse, Bouch, Barrie, Keith, and Ceci in front of him. I'm guessing something worth a 1st.

Replace Lavoie with Bourgault and I think there would be business to be had there but without retention on Kubalik. We will already have 3 spots taken.
