What makes you think we're considering Chiarelli? And even then, at least Larsson was projected to be a top pairing defenseman.

literally he's so bad, i don't know why anyone would consider him given his history. then again i am a fan of the organization that hired and kept mike milbury employed so anything is possible

yeah i am from long island! i'm in chicago right now for college but i live on LI.

i'm not sure honestly, i feel like it'd be higher for dobson than for wahlstrom, since the franchise seems to value him more? but i feel like if they were moving either, it would be for an established, better NHL player as opposed to another prospect or for picks.

I from Maryland but moved to Long Island when I was 2. I’m from bayshore and go to St Anthony’s High. But anyways Carlson for Anthony and dobson

I saw that chicago trade & I was bomfounded by it, but then I look at Chiarelli's record & now i understand everything. I think that the Cat's play style would match Barzal's well

6’4 RHD who have the IQ + skating ability like Dobson don’t come around often. It would take a significant overpay to acquire him. From the Caps it would probably cost Ferevary , Mcmichael, Lapierre and a 1st. Obviously the caps would be insane to make that trade but I think that’s the only way they’d trade Dobson. Fair value won’t get him. Scoring wingers like Wahlstrom aren’t as hard to draft/develop than top pair RHD, so he probably shouldn’t cost as much, but like Dobson it would take a significant overpay to acquire him.


Both Dobson and Wahlstrom are “Lou guys” , they were his first draft picks as GM of the isles, so they won’t be going anywhere in the near future.

I know. I’m trying to find way the caps can get faster with offensive ability and just plain speed around ovi and backstrom because they are the ones that are slow. That’s the problem with them. They are stationary. The only thing moving is the puck

Erik brannstrom or Valimaki would be good trade targets for the caps.
