Have to imagine now that they got Evander, the Oilers will target a goalie and more defensive help. Maybe moving Koskinen, Barrie, Kassian at TDL? With this team, every game will be 9-8.

Was listening to the radio sounded like Holland intends to stick with smith and koskinen. Wasn’t sure what d man to target. Figured this at least made them a four line deep nighthmare

Yeah, but even having McLeod instead of Ryan makes the team worse defensively. If they face a team like Winnipeg, who is decent defensively with the 2nd best goalie in the league, they will struggle again like last year.

Instead of paying an arm and a leg for copp why not just call up Holloway very possible he’s a better fit?

What is your evidence for this statement? Ryan has been much worse than McLeod at 5v5 this year.

That and, Holland has already said he isn't trading the 1st for a rental. And if you look at his history as a GM, I'm pretty sure he only did it once and that was when he was certain that he could re-sign the player in the summer, which he did.

The Oilers don't have to worry about facing the Jets, they're not making the playoffs.

The Jets are pretty meh defensively and that's being generous, Helly has been pretty meh himself this year.

I'd love this trade for the Jets but doubt anyone is giving a 1st for Copp especially Edmonton.
