I realize Roy is young and hasn't had a huge sample size of stats to back him up but that seems like an awful lot. No issues with the other deals here

He reminds me of Verhaeghe - the isles should be targeting guys like this who are young and have great underlying numbers. Low risk, high reward.

Verhaeghe, he came out of nowhere, huh? I wonder what org he was playing for that was silly enough to let him walk?

such a dumb move. He looked solid in Bridgeport too , I don't understand why they traded him.

Love the approach. Seems a little forward thinking though, when so many experienced veterans are available.

Roy especially would be great add. Could play C or W and has been driving play in VGK's bottom 6 now for a couple of years. We could desperately use that in ours

lol I really wish this regime would take the panthers approach, trading/signing guys with upside than vets who are on the decline. I have no interest in signing Forsberg, Lindholm etc...

Roy has almost everything you want in a 2nd line forward. Speed, agility, great hands. Can drive play. I think he'd be a good fit with Nelson who can also drive play at both ends of the ice.

Value is good for the blues but I'm not sure of the fit. They already have parayko and faulk on the right side and unless the blues feel comfortable playing mayfield on the offside I think they are better served getting a top 4 LHD

I guess there's always a chance he pans out. But if 2 2nds is the cost for him I would prob rather pay one of those to shed Bailey's full cap (I know you prefer to buy him out) and go from there

Roy has already panned out- there is pretty much no risk here. His actual value should be a 1st + prospect based on his impact over the last 2 years, but there are a lot of GM’s that overlook these players.

Put it this way - there is a very good chance Roy has as good of an impact as Filip Forsberg (one of the biggest regression candidates going into next season) and he won’t cost 9-9.5 mill…

At even strength over the past two years, Roy has had the better offensive impact (at even strength) than Forsberg despite playing with worse players.
