What’s everyone feeling on Miles Wood? He hasen’t played this year and haven’t even heard of he’s back on the ice yet so won’t get much if any games in this year. He’s an RFA after this season and looks like about 3.5m QO. Everyone knows the energy he brings and that’s important but how’s he going to be after hip surgery? (Knowing his work ethic I’m guessing about the same as before but no one can say for sure) and 3.5m for a glorified “3LW” scoring wise isn’t horrible but is definitely replaceable with someone else. Obviously his value is down because of this but definitely still has value. NJD fans think we should resign or move him for whatever we can? And think before the TDL or just trade his rights in the off season, once he’s back skating and other teams see he’s doing good? And if you think we should trade him what do you think is fair value?

Definitely just not gonna get a QO and become a free agent. Maybe he signs back in NJ, maybe not. Kinda doubt anyone would trade for him after he missed so much time and costs so much to qualify

Wood had hip surgery in late October, which requires about 6-month recovery time.
He won't play at all this year, so they will take their time with him to get to full recovery.

Devils will most likely re-sign him and have been openly committed to him.
He brings a lot to this team, on the ice and in locker room, that we have been missing this year.

I am guessing something like $3m x 3 years, hopefully 4 years.
