It makes so little sense for NSH to give up all that for two struggling players they don't need.

Well, Drouin is struggling because he was never that good. Even so, why is NSH giving up so much for a 34 yr old defenseman who would be on their 3rd pair, and a meh 3rd liner? They could get the top 6 winger and 4C they actually need, for less than they're giving up here.
