I would certainly not call trading a 1st rounder a low key deadline :P That said. In their own bubble, I don't mind each of these deals, but with how the forward lines are rolling (or were rolling prior to the All-Star break), I wouldn't mess with them even it meant adding toughness, because in doing that, you are taking a more skilled Kerfoot off the second line. Part of the issue the Leafs will face is finding some toughness with a player that isn't a pilon. The Leafs need to find a legit top-4 physical defender that can play the right side and log over 20 minutes. That aint easy to find and will cost a ton. Calvin De Haan is certainly not the answer there. Connor Murphy would be the much better fit if we are talking about a Leafs deal with Chicago.
