Not sure VEG wants to do this, but I think they might be willing, esp as an offseason move.

They could easily get more than a backup, 2 duds and a low second though

More than likely they get more than this. But if it came down to it to get eichel in the lineup it wouldn’t be the worse thing to do. Keeps the lineup the same and clears some cap for the years to come

this is a now deal not an off season move , Vegas need cap space when Eichel returns. Return is going to be less than full value. Question is would Martinez agree to be moved to Ottawa ?
it is likely one or two of 4 players that gets moved Karlsson, Martinez, Smith , Dadonov . Personally I would try to move Karlsson and Dadonov
