There's a lot of weird stuff going on here.

What is a Brandon Hagel and why is he worth a first and second pick?

Engvall doesn't get that return.

NYI say no.

Don't pay a second for Schenn.

I'd rather keep Holl.

Hagel is very strong defensive forward, highly underrated

There's no reason to call Holl names now, even if he is funny lookin.

that 4th you're sending the Islanders is enough to get Schenn, so you can take that 2nd and send it to New York if you want Mayfield. We can argue over whether or not Mayfield is a good fit for TML's system, but I still stand by the fact that with his contract and the way he's played this year, he's not going for a 6/7th D + a mid-round prospect.

Both teams get what they need, Leafs need someone who is solid defensively and physical, the Islanders need a puck mover

I know his underlying possession numbers are okay, but it's hard to buy Dermott as an offensive puck-moving type of D when the "physical, defensive" D you're trading him for has three times as many points on the year.
