in all seriousness, the move for VGK is to hope they can convince someone to take Dadonov's $5M hit, and if that fails, move out Reilly Smith's $4.5M hit for what they can get.

Next year will be the fun part for McCrimmon, with close to $80M already tied up in their top 16 contracts

Trading Dadonov or Smith seems like the easiest/best way to do it imo

When do they have to do it? I could see Smith getting either traded or let go in the off-season, and I could see them trading Martinez in the off-season. With Theodore, Hague, and McNabb on the left side, they could afford to lose one, and Martinez seems like the obvious one.

I can't figure out the timeline. To get Eichel in the line up they have to move more then 4.3mm. They are 10mm over then you bring Eichel back and now your 20mm in the whole I think.
