Varlamov has 1 year after this one so not a rental. You missed the point behind the manson trade as josh manson's dad is likely an oilers coach now.

Fair enough. I am very much against Varlamov being I want to oilers to get a goalie that can be with this team going forward. Varlamov is up there in age and a bit of a down year. Don’t want to continue to make these bets on old goalies bailing us out. To me it’s very short sighted to move a 1st for Varlamov

I didn’t know that Manson was related so maybe that gets him to stay.

As an Anaheim fan, I would take that deal.

I think the play would be varlamov as a stopgap for skinner.

Does skinner actually need a stop gap? He’s got some experience I say just spend the rest of the year riding him know exactly what he can give before the offseason and evaluate then.

I think it would be responsible to play him 40 games and another guy 40 games. One injury to a goalie and the season cant be over. I think woodcroft will ask for certain guys from bakersfield and tippetts favorites such as turris will be gone.

Well I will find it interesting that smith was clearly tippetts guy and skinner obviously has been woodcrofts guy how that will play out.
