Description
Before everyone goes nuts. The Fleury trade to the Caps makes the most sense as far as which teams that are making the playoffs. He has last say in where he goes, but to me it’s an ideal place. The compensation, I think Samsonov is the most expendable, the picks I meant to put “2nd becomes a 1st if they make it to the ECF”, and as for adding Kempny, it’s just to make the money work out.

We’re talking about Ryan Carpenter. He’s a 12-13th forward who can play a bit in the middle. What do you expect to get from him? 1st round pick? Makar? Sherwood is more likely going to be a career AHLer, but on the Blackhawks he’ll be able to play at least and showcase what he can do. Maybe be a guy like Megna who can be a depth piece. Worst case scenario, they just don’t qualify him.

First of all, relax. Second of all, I've seen low round picks being returned for him (which could have potential), so seeing as we're giving up a career AHLer for a 4th line player (yes, this is an upgrade), I see this as a minor steal.

I don't believe Samsonov is needed for CHI. If CHI don't get the 1st we should aim for, get a pick and a prospect in a position of need (forward)

I think CHI would prefer a pick in any Carpy deal. A 5th should suffice as a token gesture. Only way I could see this happening is if He really wants to go and there are no other suitors who would give up a pick for him.

My fault, it wasn’t supposed to be as bad as it looks. So I get calling me out. I get your point about it. I’m just looking at as, do you get a low 5th, 6th or get a guy who ya give a legit chance for someone. Plus I don’t know if anybody would really wanna trade picks for a 4th liner. Hence I thought this made more sense

Yeah, I get you. And don't worry, we can only get so much across through words, lol. smile
