He's had a hot streak. 15 games at a save percentage of .941% doesn't justify that much money. Last season he played 17 and was a .893sv% and people were saying he wasn't even a NHL goalie.

Don't pay players off hot or cold streaks based on a small sample size, it'll bite you one way or the other. Look at Jack Campbell this year - in his first 18 games he was a .944sv% with a 1.61GAA while going 12-4-1 and allowing less than 3 goals in a game in 15 of those appearances. Now since December 1 in 15 games he's gone 9-3-2 with a .877sv% and a 3.32GAA and he's only allowed under 3 goals in 4 of those games (3 of which were in consecutive games) ... moral of the story: there's hot and cold stretches of every season for every player. You have to base a sample size for contracts and value off something bigger than just part of a season

Ahh yes. Keep Husso at this term/AAV then we can't resign the likes of Kyrou, Thomas, Barby or Sunny D after next season. All our problems are solved...
