Maybe as a 2023 deadline deal, if we don't re-sign Severson and aren't in playoffs,

Why trade away the next Marchassault (I agree he is)
No offense better keep Killorn let Palat walk.
Over pay for Severson but think you knew I'd say that. Footes analytics even relative to teammates is very good especially considering he's only played 69 NHL games.

1. Joey could price himself out if he wants anything over 1.5m.
2. Palat is 100x better than Killorn and Point and Kuch will do everything they can to keep him on their line
3. I love Foote but he just doesn't have the "foote" speed to be an NHL dman. hes gonna get passed in the next 2 years unless he gets super powers. he has his highs and lows but lows greatly outweigh the highs. no way that's overpayment for Severson, 2 mid 2nds and a 23 year old dman that is a bottom pairing at best right now guy that needs to be signed they same year we need to sign Cirelli, Cernak,Sergy, and Colton for a better RHD on a cheap contract. Even if it isnt exactly Severson but someone like him

Killorn more goals, points and better analytics top pk guy top pp.

Completely disagree with your assessment considering it takes most defenseman around 200 game mark before they really "get it " in the NHL

Can’t see the Ducks doing that even without the second in there. Pastujov would only be moved for a much higher end forward not what would be a 33 year old pending UFA, honestly the Ducks probably don’t even trade a second for him

Foote is 23 years old already and has been developing for 5 years now, hes not fast enough for the league and doesnt use his body to make up for it.. just look at the colorado game... he was so out of position on plays i dont even think he was in our zone when goals were scored. he just doesnt fit the mold that we need him to... i rather take advantage of his young age and being a RHD to get someone who at least can skate faster than Maroon

As for Killorn.. he has 5 more GP, same amount of goals, 10 more points, +/- is worse, TOI is 1:30 more, 4 less GWG, 3x the PIM, only 7 more Even Strength points... Palat can play the PK if he wanted to as well as top PP if it wasnt for Stamkos being on that side

Agreed, Foote is a giant liability against contending level teams. I would move him at the tdl if it can help Tampa get an RD or middle 6 F upgrade. I lune keeping Palat as well over Killorn for the same reasons you already said. I don't see Joseph getting more than 1.5, so I think they keep him. In your lineup from above, the RW position is pretty weak after Kucherov, so if they think Joseph can truly be a top 6 player(I have serious doubts), then they should probably keep him. Otherwise, they should try and find a solid middle 6 LW/RW for like 2 5-3. Rutta will need a slight bump as well, probably not less than what he's making. Unfortunately, unless Palat agrees to take something closer to Killorn, he's probably gone and Tampa will keep Killorn. Either way, they should look to gain a middle 6 F this offseason or via trade imo.

i do agree our right wing depth is severely lacking, but if you move Stamkos over it just makes a hole on the left wing. so counterintuitive to where you put Stamkos, you have to find a winger for that line. biggest thing is finding a 2nd line winger is alot easier than finding someone that will mesh with Point and Kuch. you could always throw Stamkos up top and run with a Killorn-Cirelli-Joseph line again. i honestly wouldnt mind really using the C depth we have and roll Point, Stamkos, Cirelli, Bellemare down the middle and move Colton to the wing with Cirelli or Stamkos. im sure we will see a few AHL guys like BB, Ryfros, Fortier, maybe even Koepke fight for a spot in the middle 6 next year. all of this really depends on how much cap we want to save come draft day. we could somewhat clean house and move out guys like Killorn and McDonagh, as well as let Palat and Rutta walk. that would open up space to go big fish hunting in free agency to fill the cupboards but stay competitive

Just watch this forum for the next week or so and we will have our answer. So far people think Palat should be kept over Killorn

Yeah, regardless, there will be one hole at wing in the top 6. For next season, most likely Joseph will get his shot, but guys like Raddysh, Koepke, Fortier etc will be chomping to replace him if Joseph can't produce. I was in favor of moving Rutta earlier, but he has been very solid playing with Hedman, so if they can keep him, all the better. Everyone keeps saying how McD's contract is some anchor, and while it may be in 2-3 years, right now he is arguably the team's best defenseman(at least in terms of actual defensive play). He also has a full ntc, so I can't see the team moving him tbks offseason. If there's a winger that the team really likes at the tdl that either still has term or looks to ve someone that they will re-sign, it could be good to acquire said player then. That would mean shipping out at least one of Raddysh or Katchouk, but the upgrade would probably be worth it for not only the run this year, but for at least next season as well.

I wouldnt be surprised to see 1 of Katchouk or Raddysh moved and maybe even Foote if it meant bringing in upgrades
