All Leaf trades must have at least 1 of Ritchie, Engvall, Holl or Dermott included.

I've heard that the flyers are also in on Ritchie, so we should factor that into the trade.

With big retention we will need to add some more, so let's say it will be roughly 2 first rounders or equivalent going back plus Ritchie for TK and a few buriable contracts

I would say two first round picks or equivalent keeps the phone from being disconnected

2 firsts damn i was thinking Ritchie a 1st a 2nd & a B level prospect for no retention & maybe ask The Coyotes to retain 50% like Leafs did with Lehner

Look at what CGY just got for Toffoli today. TK is younger and has more term left on his deal. Retaining for 4 seasons is a huge ask and will cost a pretty penny. Probably a 1st rounder by itself. Ritchie should have negative/no value in a trade, especially with Toronto needing to free his cap to make any big deal work.

I’m gonna say: two 1sts, Ritchie and Robertson gets it done. And I don’t even know if that fits under TOR’s cap. If you are asking for retention, will need to pay additional assets.

I’d go with something like:
Nick Ritchie
Justin Holl
Rodion Amirov
2022 1st round pick
2023 2nd round pick

FOR

Travis Konecny
Justin Braun (50% retained)
Linus Sandin (or other AHLer taking up a contract spot)

Ritchie + 2nd = Braun (+retention)
Holl, Amirov, 1st = Konecny

Dermott would be moved somewhere else for a draft pick.
i.e. Colorado, as they are rumoured to have interest

Although, I’m not sure how this looks in the long-term. Especially next year when we need to re-sign Campbell, Sandin, Kase, and Liljegren.
For a player like Konecny, I’m sure we would find a way to make it work.

He's also more expensive and less productive 2 seasons straight - the Toffoli cost is pretty much spot on

Just cause you argue a point doesn’t mean you’re right. TK is less productive in the last 2 seasons & is more expensive than Toffolli also Philly doesn’t need to retain Leafs can get someone else to retain a bit of the salary. TK for a 1st 2nd & b prospect seems more than fair imo
