Uncomfortable Decisions - Part 1

Created by: Mr_Gardoki
Team: 2022-23 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 14, 2022
Published: Feb. 15, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The reality is this team will not be as deep as they are right now, but if certain prospect pan out then the Pens could be in good shape.

Boston Fans! Give me your input. I've heard mixed feelings on Coyle because of his contract, so I'm just kind of shooting from the hip here. Is an LHD like Pettersson a need? I can always change this in Part 2.

No thanks. B’s need Coyle. They have a pile of middle of the pack LD. They will have to move one of them to make room for Zboril and Urho next year who have ouplsyed most of them as it is.

Ok, I wasn't sure. I've seen Boston fans here screaming about that contract and some saying they want an LHD. Figured I'd throw it out there.

Ya well, they are overreactionary by nature. He’s overpaid by 1m, big deal, almost everyone that hits UFA is. They under appreciate him and what he does. They look at the $ and he does not score 30 and throw a tantrum. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They need an LD1. Other than that they don’t need an LD.

Bruins say no if its a deadline move, we need Coyle for the playoffs, but if this happens in the offseason I don't hate it (might be an unpopular take with Bruins fans I'm not sure)

Coyle likely doesn't waive his NMC anyway though unless he really loves the idea of playing with Malkin

Yeah, if you look above this is for the off-season. I think the value is fair, but it's whether or not it's a fit for either team.

BOS isn't trading Coyle when Bergeron is a half foot out the door.
