I like your contracts logic, especially for Primeau and Pezzetta and your other moves make sense to me.

But I wouldn't (and I do believe he resigns in PIT) sign Letang, care to explain the logic there? The team likely won't compete so why bring in a great RD except maybe leadership?

Great AGM!

I think this is super reasonable with the exception of Letang. He wants to win, Pittsburgh has a chance to do that. Montreal is not competitive, doesn't make sense for either side to sign him

I just thought that a guy who has won pretty much everything like Letang could be tempted to finish his career at home with his young family. He knows Kent Hughes as well. For MTL, it gives them a defensive option to log 1st pairing minutes if Petry is dealt. I'm not sure I want Savard/Edmundson/Romanov taking the role Petry has this season.

What's left for him to win? 3 Stanley Cups, 2 WJC Gold Medals. In the Norris conversation this year. Letang has never hidden his interest to come to MTL either.

Ideally I wouldn't, but this would be the worst-case scenario. Armia hasn't looked like himself this season.

He doesn't want to play out the final years of his career for the worst team in the league, IMO.

Armia has 3 years left while Zaitsev has 2 left but I think the majority of Sens fans would do this. Sens management/coaching wouldn't though, they love Zaitsev for some reason.

Not to be a debbie downer but athletes use hometown teams as leverage/pressure for contracts purposes. Actually, not them, their agents do.
