Barrie doesn't fit a need for the Islanders - two more years at $4.5M to play behind Pulock and Dobson is a bad use of assets. If they're trading Mayfield, they're looking for futures; if you want to include Barrie in the deal they're gonna want a better prospect that Samorukov to absorb the hit.

Out of context, your offer is reasonably generous, but in context it's a definite no chance.

- The Blues are trying to contend now. This hurts that contention.
- It also helps the contention of a potential playoff rivals, which means Army will tell you to dream on.
- The Blues do not need another young G prospect, they already have three better than Konovalov.
- Tullio is okay, maybe a decent 3rd liner one day, but he's not going to convince anyone to kill their contention. And his skating isn;t great for such a small, perimeter player.
- On top of ALL that, the Blues do not have the cap for this.

So yeah, this does not work at all. If Edmonton wants Husso, they are going to have to pay through the nose and back for him.

Massive overpay on the islanders deal. Mayfield isn’t a top pairing guy not even close.
Blues can’t do that cap wise and is it smart for Edmonton to give up a first for a goalie with such small sample size.

Also add that Holland has already made two big moves.
