Colorado does NOT accept those terms

Helleson Olausson and Newhook are the only 3 actually untouchables <-- that is Avs future right there.

Helleson could be top 4 on any team Avs aren't giving that away for a few games with Giroux

Its pretty much been established that its going to take Ranta and a 1st in the package to get Giroux as well, just saying.

I agree up to a point. I'd say Byram & Newhook aren't even in the conversation as they're basically already regulars barring injury. Helleson, Olausson and Barron would be the three the Avs would be loathe to trade and are the top three prospects outside the NHL. Include Annunen as well because he's pretty much all the Avs have in the system as far as goalies go. Behrens is probably next. Certainly the Avs would likely push more for Ranta and a 1st while the Flyers probably like one of Barron/Helleson. I'm not sure we can say it's 'established' that it's Ranta, but Ranta, 1st plus JTC is where my money lies.

I like Jost on the list, I think he needs a fresh start. I would keep Helleson over Barron, though Barron is more NHL ready. I think they'll want a pick and not McKeown, maybe our 2023 late-round (hopefully) first. I would like to keep JTC because I like his versatility while Jost has been replaced by the more talented and cheaper Newhook. Giroux is a decent player but has fallen off over the last few years, do we slot him on the 2nd line? If so, whoo moves - Nuke? I'm not excited about that for Giroux. Hertl or Pavelski (though I think Dallas makes the playoffs) would be who I target if available over Giroux.

Nah you're wrong

Newhook and byram are the only untouchables, the next tier of players which can be had but you're going to try and keep at all costs are helleson, oulasson, barron, foudy, and ranta

In addition the avs organizational depth
Toews makar
Byram girard
Helleson barron

Makes one of those guys "touchable"

I know that giroux has revealed he wants to go to the avs which lowers is value going back to Philly and that I've heard that the flyers were scouting both ranta and barron at the eagles games. But I don't think Sakic would have traded landeskog with full retention to another team at last year's deadline for a late first and a mid level prospect.

Also you need to factor in the money going back out which is minimum compher or a jost and murray package

Damn, Col is in a great place to win now, the first full season cup in years. As a Philly fan who hasn’t gotten to see him team raise the cup, I’d sell the damn farm to make sure we raise the cup this year. Giroux is still damn good, élite on faceoffs. Great 2-way play. When he sees the chance to win he is on fire, playing with Colorado you won’t get the Giroux of this last few years in Philly with our poor management, you’d get that Jagr-Hartnell-Giroux line Giroux. I’ve always been a big AV’s fan, my coach growing up played for QC so I was a fan even before the move. I want the Avs to win so bad this year, and if a sweet move with a top prospect Helle/ Oula/ Barron is the price to take the team one step further then I’d pull the trigger in a heartbeat.

Remember, Giroux is the dude who took a team who was bottom five in the league 20 games in and told reporters they were making it to the playoffs, and turned that team around. They made the playoffs… some how Crosby won the Hart that year instead of him even though the pens did just fine without him all the time he missed… Giroux in Colorado would be a monster!
