Yep, the 3rd best defensive team in the Conference should trade for four middling Dmen as they make a playoff run.

Far too much movement. This would never happen. One or two additions expected IMO.

Most teams decline these offers. Retentions are a big deal that carry a hefty price. That Anaheim one is probably pretty close but, I still think they'd say no.

I would take that as the Ducks, even if we retained the true 50% on both players

Absolute pass from Detroit. No interest in Dermott. Not retaining on a trade like that, retention is worth more than anything in this trade. Staal probably won't waive anyway.

I agree. We have the cap space, and that way, Toronto keeps Kivihalme and the third, making the deal more attractive to them.

Getting the equivalent of 2 firsts (Amirov and the actual pick), on top of a Manson replacement in Holl and a mid six forward in Kerfoot we could keep or flip would be a great move by Verbeek

Not going to comment on Villeneuve because i'm not familiar with him

50% retention on both Rakell and Manson is easily worth that return to me

Red Wings decline. Staal has a NMC anyway and doesn't want to be traded.

Pre-draft, many people had Villeneuve = Ian Moore.
