Don't hate the trade for Vancouver. Hopefully there's a better offer for Miller

1) ill start with the fact that Capitals are an older team trying to win a cup with this current core. J.T Miller is a PPG 28 year old (not old) player... who will be signed past this year for around 3m. Garland is 25 years old signed for 5 years... 25 AGAIN isnt old. Varlomov is older but he also has term and is (imo) a massive upgrade in net. look at Manson as a Orpik type stay at home guy that we desperately need.

2) Name one prospect that is good enough to build a team around... Example Ovechkin was the last guy the decided to build around. Do you think Lappy is that good? WJ Canada passed on him 2x... Also has injury issues. Might be a guy that never pans out. Iorio is also a solid player but wont be NHL ready for another 4 years. Sammy hasnt shown any signs of being the guy of the future. V V looks like he might be but hes 26 years old ... so hes old also i guess

3) THESE NEXT 3-4 YEARS ARE THE LAST YEARS OF A CUP WINDOW. CAPITALS HAVE NO ELITE PROSPECTS.... EVERY NHL TEAM HAS A LAPPY IN THEIR SYSTEM... CAPITALS need to try to win in this window then suck really really bad. being a bubble team isnt an efficient way to rebuild.... drafting high and well is how you do it
