If the Jets ever did move Scheifele in division, they wouldn't be looking to get older or to add a tiny LD they don't need.

Lol. Statistics say otherwise and Schenn has an albatross contract.

The last thing we need is another forward who couldn’t be forced to play defense if his life depended on it

I like what Schenn does and he's had 17 points with 7 goals since break, but Scheifele is high tier 1C. Schenn is high tier 2C or Low Tier 1C.

but on The other side STL is redundant for more forwards. STL wouldn't do this unless you had an LD to give and unfortunately you don't have one to give for the Blues.t

I didn't say it would work for the Blues needs wise, but I think they surely make this trade. Getting out of Schenn's contract and landing a far better center is a huge win at the cost of a first in two seasons and a meh defenseman. The value favours St. Louis so heavily, it really probably wouldn't take much discussion on their side.

Schenn isn't in a bad contract. He's worth that deal. Defensively and Offensively. It's not all offense. "Meh" he's one of the better defenseman prospects in the league right now.
