    That's a significantly worse defensive and slower team that would get eaten alive by tampa or florida

    Marner, nylander, kerfoot, mikheyev and dermott are all bettet defensively than the traded for.
    All of them and sandin,liljegren and engvall are faster.
    And that's before you add in the drop off in offensive production and aging curves

    Muh huh. Of course YOU do. But I guarantee you 10000% that Doug Armstrong is not going to agree that trading his Conn Smythe winning captain for a guy who makes 3.5M more for two extra years and disappears when the going gets tough is "perfectly fair". Duh.
