Doesn't get Forsberg, And try more like 7 x $8,500,000 if not more he wants to get paid. Hence why Poile is willing to move him now.

Dude. That bottom six is a major step down from what we have now.

Carter should be the 3 C and Nylander 2 RW. Could probably not re-sign ZAR if he costs more than 1.5 million. OConnor could probably take is his place and be just as effective tbh.
Also you could trade Dumo for cap space and plug POJ in the top 6 to upgrade the bottom 6 better. So it makes more sense to not trade for Forsberg and just go after him in FA if they had the space.

Forsberg is likely looking for more term and money if they’re looking at moving him. Preds would sign him at that rate today.

Zucker has been OFT INJURED frequently the last THREE SEASONS

ALL of which, he’s played BELOW PAR

With a year & a 5.5mil Cap hit still left,
he’s CLEARLY a CAP DUMP at this point

I think you’re gonna have to pay to get rid of him now
Even if it’s to a team like Buffalo, Arizona, etc etc

Buffalo could easily flip him with retention for more assets. Maybe the pens send a 4th or something? This was done just to see how they could hypothetically fit forsberg in

    Flip him for what?
At that Cap number, his injuries & lack of productivity won’t make him attractive
Even at half that Cap number he isn’t attractive imo
He hasn’t been good & healthy in YEARS

    Hard pass
He’s a Cap Dump- YOU guys will have to pay to get rid of him imo
    And it’ll be more than a 4th
Leafs had to pay a 1st to get rid of 1 year of Marleau at 6.25mil cap hit
So you’re likely looking at a 2nd (at least)

U guys could just end up stuck with Zucker
Don’t worry, he’ll just be hurt AGAIN & u can put him on LTIR
