Description

Strickland reports NSH is looking to move Forsberg at the TDL. This seems crazy given that they are comfortably in a playoff spot, but it makes more sense when you remember that he is a pending UFA. As Poile do you really think you can make a run this year? Realistically no, so you look get a nice haul for Forsberg instead of losing him for nothing in the offseason. Most of these trades will look like overpays, but Forsberg is an ELITE winger. Its very rare for a player of his caliber to be shopped at the deadline, so expect a massive bidding war. This one seems steep but giving away Keith is gonna cost you. EDM takes a major blow to their prospect pool but just imagine how lethal it would be to have McDavid teeing up Forsberg in the playoffs. Not to mention Forsberg would probably want to resign just to keep playing with him. 1st + 5th + Holloway for Forsberg. 2nd + Tullio for taking Keith.

It isn’t rare, go back to Mark Stone and see what he got btw.

Boston only moves Lysell if there is an extension in place. And you can take out a couple pieces too. But Boston does not have the ability to pay him, fix center, pay Pasta the following. So highly unlikely.

Edmonton doesn't need to fix their forward group. They would be targeting a Goalie if anything.

Edmonton isn't trading prospects just yet. They are not in the position with goalie and defensemen to go all or nothing. Maybe one prospect will be traded but it would be samorukov, lavoie, bourgault types not holloway.

All that for couple months of Forsberg, no thanks. Bruins don't have place for another top6 LW anyways so Forsberg isn't a target.
