scroll up the thread dude

Last 3 seasons.
Nylander
170gp 67g 81a 148p Esp 100p SHP 0 esp/60 2.362

Wilson
164gp 49g 62a 111p. Esp 85p SHP 5 esp/60 2.189

I’d say they are extremely comparable. Nylander just scores more points on the power play 😊

Wilson puts really similar ppg numbers and
Nylander brings NOWHERE CLOSE to the physicality.
Wilson is also 1.8 cheaper that's an empty netter from the paint

Pretty much this. Wilson is still better but it’s close and there’s no need to be rude about it.

Lol yes let’s ignore esp/60. This doesn’t fit your narrative so I gues it doesn’t matter ,right? Have a good day but FYI this is why Wilson is looked at as Nylander =. He scores more 4v5 and nearly as much 5v5 but hey at least Nylander can score more on the pp. 😊 doesn’t seem like you can comprehend logic so this is where i end this conversation. Lol

You saying nylander is better defensively then wilson is laughable

Bottom line Wilson is a unicorn which brings up his value higher than nylander.

except that he is. It's laughable that you think otherwise.
and some dumber gms would value wilson higher, that's true. But a guy who isnt as good at scoring or defence than another guy is not better because he hits and fights more.

Why? “Give up” you are getting Wilson hardly giving him up. Wilson has 2 less goals. Nylander has 27 5v5 p. Wilson has 26 5v5 points and 2 SHP. (Nylander has 0). Lol I mean Nylander hardly is light years better. He’s a great player but he’s not Wilson… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nylander has pretty consistently been the better offensive player. I never said he was “light years better”. All I said is that he was slightly better and that neither team does this.

Wilson also out scores a Nylander 4v5 and nearly scores as much as him 5v5. Wilson also adds a massive physical edge Nylander is incapable of adding. But Nylander playe for the Leafs so he is McDavids equal ,right?

who is ignoring them? Nylander is better at scoring at evens AND he's significantly better at scoring on the power play, last i checked all goals count the same. But ok, ill conceed that wilson has 5 more short handed points than Nylander, good for him, but ill take the guy who scores way more the other 95% of the time they are on the ice

you're really trying to get a ton of mileage out of 5 short handed points over 3 years eh?

tj Brodie gets more short handed time than lots of better defenceman than him too. I guess he's better than them?

Yeah … stay logical. 5v5 would be the best comparable level since every player plays 5v5 but again good for Nylander scoring on a loaded PP. Nylander is a better version of Bunting 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes Brodie is better defensively than alot of dmen you are correct…

Just like wilson is better than nylander defensively.. their is a reason nylander drives coaches nuts at times

Oh they are absolutely comparable. I agree. I think Nylander is slightly better (and he is, without debate, better offensively). I can completely under why someone would think Wilson is better

Nope you are glorifying and putting a premium on Nylander scoring power play points… 5v5 Wilson and Nylander are nearly identical player. 5v5 I imagine Nylander is better but Wilson doesn’t play on the PP with Kuzy backstrom Oshie Carlson and Ovechkin being top unit and he’s better at PK. Wilson is a better 4v5 player.

Might need to prepare a boilerplate response to why trading Nylander for Wilson is not a good idea because this trade occurs like once a week and always manages to rile Jared up.

Miller trade is the only one I'd do even though losing Niemelä will suck.

these goal posts just dont stop eh? first it was they score the same, then it was they score the same over 3 years, now it's they score the same at 5v5. and yet every time it has been nylander actually scores more in all those situations. So, even if they did score similarly nylander's power play scoring and all situations defence make him better over wilson getting 5 short handed points over 3 years and simply playing short handed
