With this trade the Canucks would trade Smith at 50% retained to a contender for as high a draft pick they could get

I don't know I feel that Vancouver is near the cap space could Vegas retain 50% of Reilly Smith ?

Hmmm. Vancouver might as well throw in Demko, Horvat and Hughes too.

Not even close to value for JT.
