Samuelsson played RD last night on and off

I think the idea of playing guys on their true side, is the angles. As a left d playing the right side, you are more likely to be making plays along the boards on your backhand- if you aren't fast enough to beat the opposing forward. I think different coaches/gms put more or less importance on this. Either way, I think Ryan johnson and Bryson are probably better suited to playing the right, because both are above average skaters.

I saw that, but it doesn't help when we only have two right shot d to dress anyways. I'm not arguing the point, frankly we can dress 6 left shot d if we can win a cup that way.

I agree that it is an overpayment, but that is the sad reality for the Sabres.

Agreed, just right now the Sabres don't really have a choice for the Right side, needs to be upgraded throughout the Organization. Most Dman can't play there offsides regularly, think Johnson is the best bet if you have to go that way.
