Then why sign Husso - he is just doing what Campbell did last year?

I know it's Ken Holland you'd be dealing with but I seriously doubt he'd give you a 1st and a 3rd for that.

Kerfoot has 37 points in 52 games, Dubas will command that ask and Ken Holland will follow suit. Oilers are a two man team and need depth badly, outside of McDavid and Draisaitl, who do they have? Kerfoot will 3rd on the Oilers in terms of points. I can expect Dubas asking for more, maybe replace the first with a guy like Holloway

1st for Kerfoot and a 3rd for Dermott is a fair deal, Kerfoot would be 3rd in points on the Oilers. Not sure why you think a player on pace for 58 points doesn't get you a first

1. Edmonton doesn't have the cap space to take on these guys
2. Edmonton has among the best forward depth in the league right now and some very good prospects coming

From an oilers point of view it’s crazy to spend a first to bring in someone the team has no need for. Maybe could get a first for them doubtful but a team would really need them to do so and in this case oilers don’t.

Edmonton has prospects? I was reading an article and they ranked the Oilers prospect pool around the 20th mark while the Leafs were around 12-10

When he plays with Tavares and Nylander?

Yes, they do. Holloway is NHL ready as soon as he recovers from injury, recent picks Tullio, Bourgault and Petrov are playing very well in the CHL and Carter Savoie is doing the same in NCAA.

No, when he stopped playing as a centre and became a winger. He was playing in a role last season where he couldn't succeed, but he is able to keep up with good players in the top 6. Also, Ritchie couldn't stick in the top 6 so it has to do with the winger than his actual line mates

Are they prospects from the 5th or 6th round? No clue who they are other than Holloway and I'm someone that is familiar with prospect pools

Hilarious how you completely missed the 2 main points of my post. The Oilers have no cap space and they have excellent depth right now.

Excellent depth? Like who? AHLers in Derek Ryan, Yamamoto, Shore, Perlini, McLeod, and Benson? Those players I listed wouldn't crack the Leafs 4th line and half those players are playing on the third line in Edmonton

That is one bad trade for the cap strapped Oilers. Pennsylvania Trochek finds teams more to his liking than the Leafs.

I guess "familiar with prospect pools" means you know your TOR prospects and a few from other systems. By saying you don't know who Bourgault, Petrov and Tullio are, you admitted you don't know anything about prospects. Especially not knowing Bourgault makes that pretty obvious.

Top-6 wingers are Hyman, Kane, Puljujarvi and Yamamoto.

You can't seriously call Yamamoto an AHLer when he's tied with Tavares for 5v5 goals this year. Derek Ryan is 1 behind Tavares - and 2 ahead of Kerfoot. LOL.

Funny the first guy you listed has 4 goals in the last 2 games. Shore and Perlini possibly even give you benson as a fair argument about not cracking the leafs 4th line on a consistent basis but non of them have been a regular of Edmonton they slide in when there is injuries and other guys gets elevated. They are solid options within the proper context of what they are.

Kerfoot plays in the Leafs top-6, that's why he's got so many 2nd assists which apparently make him oh so valuable. Foegele - Nugent-Hopkins - Ryan is the Oilers 3rd line and they're absolutely killing it with a 71.43 GF% and a 61.40 xGF% since Woodcroft put them together. All are under contract for next year. The Oilers have zero need for Kerfoot and they certainly aren't giving up a 1st for him.

Any other myths you'd like debunked?
