I can't see TB moving Cirelli for that. It's not an upgrade.

The picks are nice but Cirelli is well on his way to being a stud 2 way center and the value isn't there

Thanks for commenting (politely!). Tampa eyes a 3-peat and chance to replenish depleted prospect pool, Cirelli's potential brings back picks & prospect for future along with solid veteran depth for SC run. Let's face it, this is all just fun and games, not likely to happen. However, if anyone knows TB's personnel in the league, it's SY.

This doesn't make sense any for Tampa, they're chasing cups and this makes them a worse team both now and next year given Leddy and Vlad are pending UFAs.

Moving out Cirelli would leave a massive hole in the top 6 that Namestnikov doesn't come close to filling. Namestnikov is a fine depth scorer, but Cirelli is a top defensive C and PKer who contributes offensively. Plus, Leddy really doesn't move the needle for Tampa at all. He would be their 4th best LHD and his strengths as a dman (skating, puck moving) are more than covered by the likes of Hedman and Sergachev. The picks and prospect are fine, but aren't really of interest to a win-now team like Tampa, especially if it means moving one of their current key contributors.
