So tampa gives up the better player and the higher pick?

This is interesting to me.
Cirelli is the better long term player, but would get the opportunity to play 2nd line center minutes in DET which is his true calling. He's having a togh time cracking TB top 2 positions, and with TB having a few options to play those spots (Point and Stamkos). TB can use Bertuzzi in Palat's spot since they can't afford him next year.
I don't think the picks need to be exchanged, but the difference will only be 10-15 spots, but it should be DET getting TB's second and TB getting DET's 3rd.
Personnaly, I'd prefer to have Cirelli, as he's a center and is a good 2 way player.

I don’t think Cirelli is the better player per se, he does play a more premium position and one that the Red Wings lack in most, but Tyler Bertuzzi may be the most underrated player in the NHL. Guy brings a lot to the table.

I don’t really see this trade being one that either team makes though, considering Bert can’t play in Canada this year and the Red Wings aren’t pressed to move Bertuzzi anyhow.
