no need to trade Robinson and we can get more from Nyqvist and Roslovic. And Nemec will probably go in top 3. And Kadri is not coming to cbus.

Wouldn't doing this make him an UFA at expiry as opposed to 2 yrs at a lower AAV then extending him long term as a RFA

i would not because of his injuries. I would give him 2.5m for 2-3 years.

I understand that Chicago is asking the moon for Hagel and Columbus is trying to be the fall back guy with Texier. That is a lot to pay for an injured Tex.

Tex is injured, and while he is having a career year, he isn’t getting a first and a second from anybody. A 2nd and a 3rd, maybe, but at that point you are just betting on potential. And while it seems he has a lot of potential, refer to his 70 points in 17 games U18 campaign, that was 2 years before he was drafted, and he hasn’t put up those numbers since. Me personally, I love Tex, but he isn’t worth that much. At that point we can just start talking Laine with those picks (just a starter, more would be added IMO).

With Tex being injured right now, how about a 3rd/4th for him? You won’t get top dollar for an injured player, refer to Eichel trade, but that should be a reasonable price for someone that is injured who plays like Tex.

Pass. CBJ's ask is a 1st and a roster player. ATM, if it's less, I'd rather keep Tex. There isn't any rush to trade him.

Agreed with above, I wouldn't trade Robinson. And I most definitely want to give Kadri that kind of money. Contract year + Playing on a high-caliber Offensive Team like COL + Performance Far Above Standard = A contract that CBJ would quickly regret.

Laine will also get less - He is currently pegged more or less around $8.5M. Whether with CBJ or another team, he is likely to only sign for 5-6 years. Gives him another bite at the apple at a prime age and when after the cap starts really moving again.

AZ is not going to trade a draft pick for a looooong time. Though that package isn't far off what Gus + Rosy could get.

Foudy and/or Bemstrom will likely not be with the team next year, imo.
