supply and demand is why he's getting that. And your'e right, after the first month he hasn't been good....he's been unbelievably great

His November was great. Since then? League average at best. Like 908 sv%. GSAA of 2, and has let up 2 more goals than expected.

And supply/demand doesn't work when player chooses where to go. Which they've promised him.

920% since November in front of a god awful defense....again if you'd watch him play game in and game out you'd see he's still elite. IF and it's a big IF he's willing to be traded we're not trading him for peanuts. We'll keep him for everything else he brings to the organization and maybe even resign him. Just because he has a defecto no trade don't mean we're not getting full value for him. Pay the price if you want the goods

Fair enough. Though "not the worst" seems a pretty reasonable response to a deal reasonable for both sides. And I could see them adding liljegren in this situation. Instead of the 1st though. He has looked good and is really young.

Flyers wants a younger player that plays now a prospect and a 1st. So I think if we switch Dermott and Liljgren we would be set or Robertson I would be okay with too.

Yotes aren’t retaining

Seems like an overpay for Giroux+Braun. I believe it was reported that Fleury wants to finish the season in CHI and the new GM was going to honour that. For Chychrun I doubt ARZ would take Muzzin back without knowing if there are any lingering effects from his injury, and that really impacts the value of the package they get. He could either become a cap dump or return to being a solid top 4 D. Either way I dont know if they would agree to 4x2.3M retention

they could just overpay for garbage UFAS

I don’t really get this line of thinking. The coyotes. Should have two goals over the next few years: 1. Acquire future assets. 2. Be bad.

They have to reach the cap floor, so why go on a spending spree if you’re trying to be bad. Shouldn’t a sub-goal be to maximize the value of their retained contracts? To the end of being bad, wouldn’t using some of their cap floor space to pay someone to play for another team be the best way of doing that? I guess you could argue that locking up one of those three retained contracts for four years might not be ideal, but if the return is good enough, i think its a no brainer.

Lets say the price tag for Chychrun is two firsts, and any prospect the yotes want, which i think is fair. Does full retention add another first? If it does, I think thats a good idea for the yotes.

If they get compensated for it then sure, but in this case I think they could get a similar return without retaining and without the risk associated with Muzzin

Liljegren or Robertson would count as the first. And possibly more. High on both guys.

Ya, muzzin has NTC so wouldn't waive for ASU. But even if leafs keep him on Kucherov Island I think a fair deal for yotes.

Again... 910, 905, 914. Last 3 months. He's fine. Hence why I'd would like him for a reasonable price. But he's not elite. His advanced stats aren't good either. Barely positive. Despite 1 spectacular month.

again, he has a 920% after his first four starts behind one of the worst D's in the league. that's elite

And if take away his 5 last games of November he's 902. Which is well below league average. Hardly elite having a good 2 weeks.

no he's at 911 if you take away those games...and again playing in front of one of the worst d corps in the league. I took out the first five games for adjustments after being with one of the best d cores in the league where he won..checks notes, the vezina...so pay up if you want him, basic economics

902 not 911.

And again, if he wants to go somewhere they promised to make it happen. Don't get 1st when no bidding war. Basic economics.

And again, he could be open to multiple teams. They're not giving him away without getting a top return back, they can resign him, there's value there. Economics

And again, he could NOT be open to multiple teams. And Chicago has promised to try and do what he wants. If only wants 1 team, won't be getting a 1st. Not complicated.

You're right it's not complicated, we'll ask for a first or keep him. offer him an extra year. not selling for pennies on the dollar

So you think they'll break their word to a guy who wanted to retire rather than play for them, and you think he'll then signan extension? Okay then.

They're not breaking any promise, they said IF they trade him they'd listen to his thoughts. BUT he's sounding like he wants to stay and said he wants to play one more year so why wouldn't we offer him an extension? Okay?

Nope but thanks for responding 2 weeks later. My team won 3 cups in recent memory, what's your team done? Lose in the first round every year?

Oh did I miss your evidence? every local Chicago reporter (and some national for that matter) are reporting what I said. Sorry I pointed out facts about our successful franchise and your losing franchise. Don't get too sad that you're wrong LOL
