Everything after the Giroux trade is overkill. Not to mention you can't just LTIR someone for the hell of it.

EJ literally is LTIR every year. Of course everything is overkill but this is what happens when you're buyers at the TDL. The AVS best chance to win the cup is this year and they're not going to be the only bidders for players on the block.

There's so much wrong with this post. Trading for Namestnikov and Kulak is fine, but you're gutting the prospect pipeline and eliminating any chance of competing in the future by going for all three of the big deals because you're going to have zero ELCs. The window will be open past this year. Go for it with a big trade trade, no doubt, but not three of them.

Absolutely so much wrong with these trades. I'm in for a cup this year and hectic TDL. I'm sure they'll still be competitive in the future by having the first line and top 4 dmen staying the same.
