1. Kempe is not your best player, and if he is that’s ****ing pathetic, the dude is no good defensively. Yes he’s been a great finisher this year but that’s it.
2. A first and Robertson to go with 2 solid depth pieces and a 3rd is certainly not scraps. Robertson is an A prospect and a 1st in this draft will be a damn good one considering the depth that will very likely fall such as Seamus Casey

Yea Kempe is pretty much the only dynamic player on the team. The Kings arent very good but they arent pathetic. Kempe is really good defensively actually.
Robertson Engvall and a first will get you a rental. Not a guy breaking out in his prime.

Dude nobody is paying a first and A prospect for a rental lmao. And Kempe is really bad defensively, this year he has made his team significantly worse defensively he is on the ice, allowing a ton of more quality chances against when he is on the ice (literal stats lol)

He’s not a rental. He’s an RFA. Yes he does need a new contract. Yea it will be a decent raise, some say 5MM range. I hope it’s not that much, hopefully closer to 4MM.

Also a GM would trade an A prospect and a 1st for a player like Kempe. Fans would probably not like it but GMs are stupid when deadlines approach.

For what it’s worth I wouldn’t trade Kempe regardless. Kings don’t need more prospects. Doubt Robertson would even be top 10 in LAs system
