Description
Rangers Need Bottom 6 Scoring Desperately
Rakell Trade-Kravstov Should be the first piece the rangers trade. He obviously does not want to be here. While he still has some value trade him to a western conference team. And getting rakell and sticking him either on the panarin line or third line just makes the lineup that much deeper.
Georgiev Trade- Georgiev has proven he can be a solid NHL starter. But it’s not going to happen in NY. Detroit could use a goalie for next year with greiss as a pending ufa and cossa still has a few years to go. Makes sense for both teams. Getting greiss back allows the rangers to keep a serviceable backup goalie. They also get a third because georgiev is a rfa not ufa.

Jarnkrok- Similae to rakell but rangers get jarnkrok for that third they got for georgiev, and a nhl forward who has showed some potential in gauthier- change in scenery needed. Jarnkrok has played many playoff games, tones of experience , is good defensively, at face offs, and has some scoring upside. A third line of Chytil-Jarnkrok-Rakell gives the rangers 3 Very Good lines. Allows goodrow to stay on fourth line that has been a good identity line.
No need to touch the defense IMO even nemeth is playing decent with schneider and you have shesterkin back there , just need secondary scoring and the rangers are a serious Stanley cup contender

I like it the DET trade for value but I it’s hard justify when back up goalies will be available in FA for free. I think change the 3rd to a 4th or send a 6th/7th back would be closer Mr. Yzerman’s ask.

Detroit doesn't need retention save that cap space and change that 3rd to a 4th.

Greiss doesn't lose at the Garden so this could be a smart move.
