Description

Seider has been carrying D partners all year so maybe he can make juolevi look like an acceptable Dman on a top pairing. That’s being hopeful tho.

I bet yzerman wants to deal namestnikov for a pick, but this was really more to play with the lineup that make trades. Boy I really hope Martinez comes back as a solid top 4 guy. Lawd knows this team needs it.

Juolevi is just a body to have around when Yzerman trades Leddy. If he sucks then he'll be waived again. If he shows something then maybe he turns out to be a found wallet. I'm not holding my breath though.

They do actually, they are currently at 23 roster players so 1 roster player has to be sent down just to add another. Ritchie likely wont be claimed (and if he does nbd tbh) so thats +900k

I know people on here are saying Leddy's not worth a second but with retention that's silly. Hell the retention alone is worth a 3rd! Detroit got a fourth last year for just over a million in retention. Leddy with that retention is easily worth a 2nd.

I like the Juolevi pick up to be honest. I'm glad they claimed him. If he holds a spot for when Leddy is traded and nothing more, great. But I hope he turns into more, would really make the offseason easier.
