  4. 2022 2nd round pick (STL)
Additional Details:
*whoevers 2nd is highest

Boeser solves the goal scoring RW need for the Rangers now and for the future while giving up good assets in positions they already have locked down
NYR
  1. Boeser, Brock
Additional Details:
I really like Boesers goal scoring but if it comes down to Miller, Garland or Boeser i'd probably go with Boeser considering how important Miller is driving the play and the feistiness Garland brings to the table.
4.
VAN
  1. Rees, Jamieson
  2. 2022 3rd round pick (CHI)
CAR
  1. Motte, Tyler
Additional Details:
I really like what Motte brings to the 4th line but if you can't resign him for under 2 million then you should get what you can for him. There are guys in the minors like Will Lockwood who can bring that speed and energy lost without Motte.
5.
VAN
  1. Bemström, Emil
  2. 2022 4th round pick (CBJ)
CBJ
  1. Dickinson, Jason
Additional Details:
Dickinson is just not a good fit with this lineup. He can be a capable defensive 3C it just doesn't work in Vancouver.
6.
VAN
  1. Rittich, David
  2. 2023 5th round pick (NSH)

Nashville upgrades in net with a veteran goalie

Canes pass. That is too much for a fourth liner. A third would be one thing, but adding a prospect, and one that could get his shot in the next couple of seasons, no. Personally, the most I would be willing to pay would be a 4th, and I don’t think that the Canes would be in on him. He isn’t a top 6 LW, and he doesn’t help upgrade our dcore. We already have enough depth, and with the roster as it is now, Stepan gets a look before Motte would, so acquiring Motte would be a waste of assets.

Big no. Rees has a better chance of becoming an impact player in the top 9 than Motte. Carolina's bottom 6 is very strong. Motte would be the 14th forward. No reason for him.

Hes a 3rd liner on VAN, scoring at a 17g pace and is a great on the PK. Cool if you dont want him but hes not some knuckle dragger 4th liner either.

A third liner on Vancouver. He wouldn’t even crack the Canes fourth line. So, at best, if he goes to Carolina, he would be on the fourth line. More likely he would be the 14th forward behind Stepan. It’s nothing against Motte personally, as I really like him, but he would not be a good fit for the Canes. Could he improve our already league leading PK even further, sure, but do we really need to acquire him for that, no. Canes likely acquire a defenseman at the deadline, with H. Lindholm being one of the leading candidates.

Rangers definitely decline. That's too much for Boeser but even if it wasn't the Rangers aren't able to absorb his QO for next year, he'd basically be a pure rental for them.

I dont watch Canucks games, but 1) how great is he considering Vancouver is the by far the worst PK team in the league 2) if he is as great as you say he is, would he be a worthwhile addition to CAR who have the best PK in the league?

As for the trade with the rangers. The package is a little too rich for a pending FA the rangers most likely won't be able to pay (Fox is due a 9 million $ raise next year and they dont have a 2C signed yet). If they do get a RW2 instead of using kakko, they'd probably prefer garland (which that package is closer to reality for) bc of that feistiness that the Rangers GM loves.
