Description

I know some will argue with the merit or value in these trades. I don’t see all happening but one can dream.

MAF has the experience and Chicago is going into a rebuild. Hagel might be the deal breaker there.

Manson is expiring and gives us a good RD to pair with Sandin.

Yes I know Chara is old but he has the experience, toughness and can kill penalties. This is also insurance in case Muzzin doesn’t come back first round or gets injured again which he has been prone to in the playoffs.

Chara isnt just old, he's bad. he cannot kill penalties any more and the leafs dont need help on the pk anyway

Think Hawks fans want more for Hagel. Dont think he is necessarily worth how Hawks fans value him so he probably doesnt even move. I’d do that Manson trade the value seems fair. I have no interest in Chara.

I don't think it's a stretch to think Robertson can become a 40-50 point winger within 3 years (when he's 23). How on earth is a 50 point winger and a 36 year of goalie worth a 1st and a top prospect. If MAF costs a 1st you don't get him. If Hagel costs a 1st it's an overpay. This needs to die

Ya that deal with the Hawks isn't going to fly. Think of Hagel as Marner for the purpose of what the Hawks would be asking by the sounds of it. Have to blow them away with an offer so wild they would be silly not to take it. Add another prospect and 2023 first and Davidson might think about it.

Not that I think he is worth that much but the team seems to think that.

The market for a goalie is going to be competitive. We did the Mrazek contract. We don’t need more undersized forwards who might be a 50 point guy in 3 years.

Thats not getting Hagel on his own. To get him out of CHI it needs to be an overpay.
