Graves is a need. The others aren’t.

So what's the deal with DeBrusk? Is he just a poor fit in the Bruins' system?

I would take this. Debrusk is heating up as of late

I'm not saying I wouldn't. I'm just curious why he seems to be the in ever Boston trade. Trying to see separate the CF nonsense with reality.

debrusk wants to be featured more as a scorer because goals lead to higher contracts. he has a tiff with cassidy because bruce wants to get the best 2 way player out of jake. Jake when the scoring isnt there gets lazy in his own zone and that pisses the coach off. Jake got tired of being sat and sees marchand and hall ahead of him on the depth chart and immediately asked for a trade when he wasnt getting enough ice time with 3rd liners.

its a little bit of poor fit/poor attitude/ streakiness thats kind of why he wants out.

Gotcha. Thanks for the input. I'm not sure how much he'd like playing for Sullivan then or vice/versa for Kapanen and Cassidy since Kap isn't a defensive player. Sullivan also wants his wingers playing defense, but it's probably worth the swap for either team. DeBrusk would at the very least get top-six minutes for a bit.

i think debrusk would be highly motivated in any change of scenery. hes played well recently and it only really happens when he isnt scoring but if hes playing with geno hes probably going to score. the significant upgrade he would get going to penguins 2nd line vs bruins 3rd line is a joke.
