Pens decline. They have literally ZERO interest in trading Marino.

I'm not sure what all the interest is in Marino. The kid had a great 1st year but his numbers and game play have regressed since then. Is he better than what we have? Probably (that's no surprise), but not to the point that I'm willing to trade a young sniper for him. Maybe a Myers for Marino, where they save on term and we save on annual hit, but nothing more than that. Otherwise, Pittsburgh really has little to offer (Kapanen has been absolutely putrid this year) Vancouver for any of our top six forwards, so I doubt a significant trade comes to pass.

Myers for Marino? 😂😂😂
Pens counter with Matheson for EP. Pens save on term and Vancouver saves on cap 🙄

Yeah sure. LMAO. I get it. Marino is the next Bobby Orr. This post is based on an interview I heard talking about Marino's regression and some possible regret Pitt has with his length of contract. Truth be told I have no interest in any of Pitts players/prospects, but was rebutting all this Canuck fanbase interest on a player they really know very little about. Miller, Boeser, Garland et al should get much better young players back than Marino or Kapanen IMO. The same suspects were all in on Myers and Barrie for what it's worth. SMH.

That nonsense about Marino is just that…NONSENSE. Marino has been solid this year. The pens defense has been a top 10 defense all year. I really don’t think any of them suck that bad considering. If they did, I doubt they’d be a top 10 defense at all this year.

When I look at the Penns (Outside of the obvious superstars), i see a really well put together roster where the sum is greater than the parts specifically for that reason. In the handful of games I have watched the team speed was considerable and a lot their success seems to stem from that. Neither Kap or Marino were particularly good (or bad) in the games I viewed and as such I just don't get the attraction.
