Rust gets more tbh. He would be headed for 102 ponts in 82 games

Wild decline. Rust is an UFA and not worth two 1st round picks. Furthermore, he is a winger and isn't something we need. Winger depth is actually our biggest strength

We either should go all-in, or consider trading some pieces before we loose them for nothing. I would not trade Malkin because I think he's the likeliest of the three to be back and gives us so much depth down the middle. I do think your on to something though in the sense that the worst thing we could do is stay in the middle. It feels like right now we want to contend, but not make any big moves. That is the worst thing we can do. We either have to fully commit to winning and trade away picks, prospects, or players like Kapanen to improve the team, or if not trade away key players for a rebuild. I think we should do the first and commit to winning fully, but I'd rather do what you did then make no moves at all.

Easy no for Minnesota. We aren't trading for any Wingers, so no it's not realistic

They shouldn’t even be considered. Crosby and malkin aren’t the problem. Letang has been inconsistent but at the top of his game he’s incredible. Their glaring weakness is middle 6 production so dealing kapanen/poulin/legare/poj should be available to get someone like rakell

If the Pen's are going to trade Geno, Letang, and Rust, they might as well sell of everyone else and fully rebuild. The middle six isn't worth keeping either. Like Pensfan said, the problem is in the middle six, but I would add our overpriced D-men as well.
