Description
Just a comment about the Kings trade: Varly is younger than Quick and Petersen might not be very good. The cap situation remains exactly the same and LAK adds true competition for Petersen. NYI could try and flip Quick to a contender but I doubt he has much value

LA is not trading Quick. He is playing very well this season. If the Kings make the playoffs, which is looking more and more likely, expect to see Quick in net.

Very similar seasons for the two Kings goalies:
Quick: .908/2.68
Petersen: .904/2.60

Varly is at a .911/2.9 with a putrid team in front of him. Idk why you wouldn't try to get younger and give Petersen an actual run and push him into a better position

Minnesota has zero interest in josh Bailey. Thus specifically user is just playing at this point because he post same thing every week

Because Quick has tons of playoff experience, including two Stanley Cups, is a franchise cornerstone and fan favorite, and is $1.5 million cheaper next season. We wouldn't trade him even up for Varlamov who, by the way, I like a lot.
